Express Employment Professionals was created in 1983 by founders Robert A Funk, William H Stoller and James Gray from the dissolution of Acme Personnel, a Washington based company in which all three were Associates. In 1998 Express was established in South Africa and currently has offices in Bloemfontein, Cape Town, Centurion (HQ), Durban North, Durban South, Midrand, Pietermaritzburg, Port Elizabeth, Pretoria, Randburg, Richards Bay, Sandton and Middelburg. Express South Africa is currently under the leadership of Managing Director, Carolyn Diaz. Globally, Express employs approximately 350 000 people each year. As a franchised business, we are both an international company large enough to serve you completely and a local office small enough to move quickly and act independently.

Carolyn Diaz, Managing Director of Express Employment Professionals South Africa, joined Express as a franchisee in 2006. She had 15 years staffing industry experience and owned a very successful independent staffing firm when she decided to team up with Express. Her vivacious personality and leadership skills quickly became very apparent to all who had any contact with her. In 2007, Express Headquarters contacted her about taking on a very serious and important leadership role within the company and she graciously accepted the challenging role of Managing Director. Even though she gives direction to the Franchise offices, all 14 Express Franchisees are independently managed by their franchise owners. Since she took over the leadership role, Express South Africa has earned the highest profit ever. Through her efforts, Express became a reputable staffing firm in South Africa.

We have grown to a network of close to 700 employment agencies in three countries, while still maintaining local ownership for each office and providing quality service to each of our clients.
