Job Description
Position: Process Optimisation Engineer
Location: Centurion
Remuneration: R30 000 – R 37 000
Our client, in the automotive industry, is looking to employ a Process Optimisation Engineer to join their team in Centurion.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Analysing and generating applicable reports for various processes.
- Measuring key metrics of current layouts.
- Proposing recommendations and improvements on the analysed processes, current layouts, equipment, productivity, and business processes.
- Formulating action plans to implement recommendations and improvements and communicating changes to relevant departments.
- Modelling changes on the analysis software.
- Sourcing Suppliers for relevant approved equipment.
- Continuous follow-up on approved action plan process.
- Support, comply and ensure compliance with the Health and Safety regulations, all the Companies policies and procedures, Quality and Environmental policies and procedures.
Experience and Qualifications
- BEng Industrial Engineering
- Understanding the operational requirements of a warehouse (Health and Safety and Security)
- Understanding ISO Standards (ISO 45001 & ISO 9001)
- Experience with process modelling software, and warehouse software and database management
- Knowledge of warehousing KPI’s
- Programming language Python and/or R
